Aqua Restaurant Goes Completely Vegan Every Sunday

If you’re looking for the best vegan meal in Abu Dhabi, then you need to stop in at Aqua, the award-winning all-day-dining restaurant at Rosewood Abu Dhabi.

Kicking off an exciting new culinary season with the introduction of the capital’s first vegan-dedicated theme night, the hotel on Al Maryah Island now features an impressive plant-based, meat-free feast. Held every Sunday, ‘V for Vegan’ nights launched on September 8th, bringing to Abu Dhabi the first and only plant-based dinner buffet in the capital.

Chef Rukman Rathnayaka, the vegan cuisine expert at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, said, “There was a clear appetite for a regular vegan event in Abu Dhabi, and we have been working hard to meet the demands of our vegan community. The launch exceeded our expectations and we have witnessed a consistent growth on reservations made at our 94-capacity restaurant.”

Served from 7.00 p.m. until 10.30 p.m., the theme night offers the perfect setting to experience a lavish spread of vegan starters, mains and desserts priced at just AED 180. The set-up also includes an unlimited package of organic vegan hops and grapes that can be paired with the dinner for an additional AED 80.

“Our ‘V for Vegan’ night has already been recognized by Abu Dhabi’s foodies for serving one of the most inventive plant-based menus in town. The vegan burgers are such a hit; we have now added them to our Rosewood Garden Brunch spread as well.”

With a carefully curated menu of more than 40 plant-based dishes, ‘V for Vegan’ night is ideal for both those that have adopted the lifestyle and those curious to discover the popular dietary trend. The guilt-free feast guarantees a memorable dinner with friends and family in the inimitable atmosphere at Aqua, complete with interactive live cooking, delicious food and irresistible sweets.

“At ‘V for Vegan’ nights, our guests are truly spoilt for choice that it is hard to know where to even begin. Our expert chefs serve up some of the most inventive plant-based cooking that it is worth taking a lap around the restaurant to discover just how limitless vegan dining can be,” Chef Rukman said.

The buffet consists of a bread corner, a salad bar, soups and dim sum for starters followed by a variety of mains, such as sweet miso eggplant, steamed silken tofu broccolini, vegan biryani and mac and cheese. The dinner also includes a sushi spread, a fritto corner, chips, burgers, a gluten-free pasta station, cold donburi, tossed soba and stir-fried dishes.

There is a wide selection of desserts to complete the meal, including chocolate-chip banana cake, treacle coconut mango sago, roasted pecan nut brownie and soya milk cherry mousse. The variety is limitless with the ‘V for Vegan’ dinner as the menu rotates every Sunday.
