For one weekend only, the vibrant and beautiful Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi is joining forces with iconic whisky brand Chivas Regal to host a special edition of The Nikkei Brunch. Honouring the exciting news that the stunning beach bar has become the first destination in Abu Dhabi to exclusively launch Chivas Extra 13 blended Scotch whisky, the ’13 King Street Brunch’ will burst into life on Saturday, February 12.
Presenting the perfect experience for whisky connoisseurs, the enchanting weekend gathering will feature unlimited refreshing cocktails, delicate fusion bites and enrapturing entertainment from a talented live saxophonist, thrilling tap dancers and the incredible DJ Meerkat. As Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi’s newest resident DJ, Meerkat is skilled at curating ethereal mixes of deep house, chillout, melodic house and more atmospheric and eclectic genres. Embodying the moto ‘anything but ordinary’, she will be lifting the mood at the 13 King Street Brunch with her tantalising beats.
Providing a unique and special kind of weekend celebration, guests are invited to mix up their dining and socialising with an engaging Chivas Masterclass. Led by the expert mixologists from Chivas Regal and available to enjoy throughout the evening in the main bar, the masterclass invites guests to sample a selection of aromatic and Chivas 13 beverages. Further ensuring that each diner is able to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting tastes of Chivas whisky, a Chivas mixologist will visit every table with a tasting trolley to explain the concept behind the brand and the unique aging process that is used to make every bottle.
Fusing the magical flavours of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, the array of sharing-style dishes can be enjoyed out in the cool winter air on the stunning open terrace, or inside in the artistically adorned dining room. The Nikkei Brunch set menu encompasses delicate bites such as tuna midori ceviche, salmon truffle tataki, authentic beef aged gyoza and prawn tempura, plus a selection of special cocktails that Buddha-Bar Beach’s talented mixologists have created exclusively for the event. Guests are encouraged to relax and savour a selection of delicious Chivas cocktails. This includes the exotic Shochu Sangria, incorporating Chivas Extra Sherry, the Peruvian-inspired Inca Fizz, featuring Chivas Extra Bourbon, and many more bespoke creations.
Founded in Scotland in the 19th century by the Chivas brothers, the curated experience at Buddha-Bar Beach will highlight the rich, full-bodied and immensely drinkable nature of the irresistible new Chivas Extra 13. Inspired by the Chivas brothers’ 13 King Street emporium in Aberdeen, where they imported different spirits, exotic spices and luxury food items from across the globe, the new product comes in two varieties, with one type selectively matured for 13 years in Oloroso Sherry casks, and the other matured in bourbon casks. Crafted in Strathisla, the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands and one that dates all the way back to 1786, the unique Strathisla single malt is at the heart of each and every Chivas Regal blend.
Available to enjoy exclusively on Saturday, February 12 from 7pm to 10pm, the ’13 King Street Brunch’ is priced AED 375 for food and selected non-alcoholic beverages, and AED 495 for food and selected house beverages.
