Renowned artist Pop and Toast, unveils her collection ‘Obsession’ at COYA Abu Dhabi
With art at the core of its brand DNA, COYA Abu Dhabi, the original purveyor of Peruvian cuisine, has furthered its commitment to supporting talented creatives by launching a new exhibition by UAE-based artist Pop and Toast.
The bright, colourful and popular art brand, which is renowned for its enticing abstract paintings featuring bottles, portraits and figures, was founded by Northern Irish creative, Anna McKeown.
Influenced by fashion, the female figure, glamour, glossy magazines and celebrity culture, her bold and striking collage-based pieces perfectly compliment the eclectic style of the COYA brand. Inspired by the unconventional, monochromatic and bold compositions of iconic photographers such as Helmut Newton and Mario Testino, Anna’s distinctive, fashionable and seductive works are bound to catch the eye of every diner and socialite at COYA Abu Dhabi.
The ‘Obsession’ exhibition by Pop and Toast will be available to view at its new home on Al Maryah Island until October 31, 2022.

Azucar
COYA Abu Dhabi is turning up the heat this summer by hosting yet another edition of ‘Azucar’, its fun-filled live music night, on Tuesday, August 2nd from approximately 9pm onwards.
Uniting music lovers, dancers and socialites for one sizzling night of uplifting tunes, the five-piece Cuban band Cubache is guaranteed to have every guest up on their feet dancing. Taking place within the elegant and stylish ambiance of the Pisco Bar, the award-winning Cubache will perform an addictive fusion of Latin and Afro rhythms, influenced by Spanish, French and Afro Cuban cultures.
Peruvian bar bites will also be available, while guests on the terrace and in the restaurant are invited to dine on the iconic venue’s full array of irresistible à la carte options, including juicy Wagyu beef baos, tiger prawns maki rolls and crispy king crab toasts.
The August edition of ‘Azucar’ will burst into life on Tuesday, August 2, from 9pm onwards. Reservations for tables are recommended. Beverages and bar snacks are available at the Pisco Bar, with the restaurant and terrace available for à la carte dining.

Available exclusively during the vibrant weekend event, COYA Abu Dhabi’s award-winning bartenders have created their most delicious brunch cocktails yet. The Solar Spritz gives a Peruvian twist to the classic Italian staple with hibiscus Pisco, St Germain, prosecco and grapefruit soda, whereas the fruity Pina Morada stars coconut rum, chicha morada, and pineapple agua fresca. Meanwhile, the Mediterranean-style Mora Tonic enchants with its fusion of Oxley gin with bergamot Mediterranean tonic, and the Nitrotini with vodka, cold brew coffee and Kahlua is perfectly rich and smooth.
The expert mixologists at COYA ensure that the refreshments flow constantly throughout the afternoon affair, offering contemporary seasonal mixes alongside favourites such as the venue’s legendary trademark Pisco sour. Meanwhile, the Premium Package ensures that every Saturday is an ultra-special occasion with its addition of NV Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Brut Yellow Label champagne.
The talented chefs have also created an incredible array of irresistible bites. With creamy guacamole prepared fresh at the table, diners are encouraged to start their unforgettable journey through Peruvian culture with a selection of flavoursome tacos, pretty maki rolls and the enticing COYA platter of signature appetisers, containing superb light bites such as salads, ceviches and Chef Pang’s succulent anticuchos.
Following on from the creative starters, the array of delicious mains is then guaranteed to leave every foodie and socialite feeling spoiled for choice. Featuring the most impressive traditional recipes and spice combinations of this truly exciting cuisine, the reimagined brunch menu presents slow-cooked beef ribs glazed with miso, thoughtfully prepared corn-fed baby chicken, and salmon with barley.
Those wishing to further elevate their dining experience are also invited to try the grilled tiger prawns for an additional AED80, or the grilled Wagyu sirloin for a further AED200.
Saving room for dessert is absolutely mandatory, and the COYA Dessert Platter always steals the show with its mesmerising display of handcrafted sweet delicacies. Ensuring a magical conclusion to the party, those with a sweet tooth will be in their element with fresh churros, chocolate truffles, cheesecake, berry pavlova and Peruvian cookies.
Those who want to extend the fun and weekend celebrations are now invited to continue the party on to the new after-brunch experience, with fresh cocktails, beers and hops available at a reduced price exclusively for COYA brunch guests. The after-brunch cocktails and grapes for COYA’s guests are priced at AED 45. With hops priced at AED 35.
Saturday Brunch at COYA Abu Dhabi takes place from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, with packages starting from AED 298 for soft drinks, AED 438 for house beverages and AED 588 for premium beverages. After brunch offer is available for guests at COYA brunch only, not for outside guests.
