This November, Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi is set to host an ethnic styled ‘Soul Party’ featuring the legendary DJ Papa performing live in the UAE capital.
The resident DJ of Buddha-Bar Monte Carlo since 2010, DJ Papa brings his smooth house, techno and ethnic beats to the pristine sands of Saadiyat Island for a one-night-only performance on Friday, November 18. Having performed at the Monaco Grand Prix, and many other major events, the skilled musical curator is the perfect pick to kick-off festivities during race weekend here in Abu Dhabi. Known for uniting percussion, pianos, violins and a creative range of musical techniques and sounds that span everything from Balearic rhythms to hard house and techno, he is a master of his craft with over 45 years of experience
Italian DJ Papa whose real name is Papadia Donato is widely considered one of the most imaginative and talented figures in the ethno-beat music scene and curates the ‘Buddha-Bar’ radio show that he hosts on the prestigious Radio Monte Carlo. Beginning his long and successful career back in 1973, he has played a key part in Buddha-Bar’s timeless and global allure since he joined the brand 12 years ago.
His fusion of lounge, world music, oriental and ethnic house perfectly complements the distinctive and creative DNA of Buddha-Bar Abu Dhabi at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.
