Les Dangereux Opens Its Doors At Mamsha Saadiyat

LES DANGEREUX (DGX), the flagship of six highly-anticipated concepts by White Hospitality, has officially opened at Mamsha Saadiyat, ushering in Soo Yong Kim’s future fine-dining vision for Abu Dhabi.

Led by culinary powerhouses Soo Yong Kim, Llorenc Sagarra and Dani Lasa, Les Dangereux rethinks what should remain, retire, and evolve in the world of fine-dining.

The presentation is a culmination of the total careers of Kim, Sagarra and Lasa, with service in the dining room designed to feel like a visit to one of the chef’s homes.

In today’s mostly hazy definition of “sourcing local”, DGX brings crystal clear clarity to the term with its 113,000sqm farm in Yas Island that will seed and harvest its produce for Les Dangereux’s menu, making it the only restaurant in the UAE to be able to claim “Farm to Table” on this true level.

Breaking away from convention, Les Dangereux presents its menu in a format that transcends traditional sections and dish names. Instead, it offers dining experiences tailored to the desired duration of each guest’s visit, each with a captivating narrative that shares insight into the culinary creation.

Among the forward-thinking experiences, guests at Les Dangereux can indulge in the “TREATS” menu, featuring exquisite presentations such as Caviar 2.0, Oysters & Steak, and Prawn & Yellowtail. This menu is perfect for occasions when friends and family gather, offering luxurious yet simple dishes to nibble on.

Les Dangereux breaks away from the conventional meal structure of salads, mains, and dessert to proudly showcase how chefs themselves enjoy Caviar and King Crab Legs in the company of their peers.

Moving on to DGX’s “FEAST” menu, which explores the versatility of a single ingredient by presenting it in five different culinary interpretations. For instance, the black foot French Poulet Rouge is transformed into a dry-aged whole leg, a sous vide roulade of breasts, a foie-infused liver mousse, and wood-fired grilled gizzards skillfully paired with Opus 1 Jus de Poulet.

Finally, “Le Excursion” menu is the full presentation of a 15-30 course tasting menu with its opening June menu following the story of Kim and Sagarra thus far in their careers with stories from the beginning, middle, and current days of their culinary repertoire.

Designed by White Studio, the elegant venue embodies a fusion of old and new, seamlessly blending traditional Victorian architectural elements with modern aesthetics, paying homage to the past while embracing contemporary design concepts. Notably, a floor-to-ceiling LCD column takes center stage, displaying post-modern works of art and serving as a three-dimensional curved presentation for live performances when they occur.

The venue operates Tuesday through Sunday, opening at 6pm until late.
