Rooted in a captivating blend of history and imagination, the venue honours the stories of Japanese travellers who emigrated to Peru and Brazil in the early 20th century. With its vibrant atmosphere, SUSHISAMBA is set to transform the capital’s dining scene, offering an immersive, multi-sensory experience unlike any other.
In contrast to its sky-high Dubai counterpart, SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi is located on Podium 1 of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers and occupies an entire two-storey architectural gem just steps from the city’s picturesque Corniche. Dedicated valet access ensures a seamless arrival experience for diners.
Designed by the renowned Spain-based studio Lazaro Rosa Violan, SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi invites guests to step into its vibrant atmosphere, beginning with the iconic “READY TO SAMBA?” sign that warmly welcomes them and sets the tone for an unforgettable and fun dining experience.
This whimsical introduction leads to the main restaurant on the ground floor, which comfortably seats 100 guests. Here, rich textures and lush greenery enhance the dramatic ambiance. The atmosphere is further enlivened by vibrant textiles and finishes in warm hues, celebrating the lively spirit of Brazil and Peru. An open-style kitchen features sushi and robata grill counters with seating for 8 guests, while an outdoor terrace, adorned with lush greenery, gracefully curves along the interior and offers breathtaking views of the seafront, accommodating up to 28 guests. The design harmoniously integrates intricate details and natural materials, drawing inspiration from geometry and nature to create a welcoming and multi-dimensional ambience.
On the first floor, guests will discover an intimate private dining room that seats up to 14, and an outdoor terrace with its own striking bar which overlooks tranquil waters, perfect for hosting 100 guests. Also located on this level is SUSHISAMBA’s best-kept secret: SAMBAROOM. Accommodating up to 50 guests, this space, equipped with an intimate bar, transforms dinners into parties and strangers become friends. The interior is both inviting and intriguing, seamlessly blending Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian influences.SAMBAROOM and the outdoor restaurant, elegantly separated by glass doors, will be fully opened during the al fresco season to create a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor dining.
The contemporary dishes are presented with an artistic flair and a touch of tasteful theatrics. Led by Executive Chef Obed Villegas, SUSHISAMBA’s eclectic menu is crafted with impeccable skill and premium ingredients.
Ranging from traditional Japanese Tempura and Sushi, to PeruvianAnticuchos and seviche, each delicate yet satisfying dish is meant to be shared and appreciated with loved ones.
