Dreaming Of A Gold Christmas: COYA Abu Dhabi Unveils Its Magical Special Events For The Festive Season

This winter, COYA Abu Dhabi is presenting a shimmering, unforgettable series of events that are guaranteed to delight every food connoisseur and socialite. Furthering its reputation as the UAE capital’s most dynamic and innovative party destination, it is pulling out all the stops to make this festive season the most memorable yet.

Hosted under the beautiful theme of ‘Dreaming of a gold Christmas‘, the waterfront hotspot will be transformed into a shimmering, golden hideaway filled with wonderful Latin American-inspired dishes, catchy beats and endless good times.

Presenting special dishes and parties for National Day, Formula 1, Christmas and New Year, there are ample opportunities for everyone to join in the fun.

UAE NATIONAL DAY

In honour of the UAE’s 50th National Day, guests can conclude their meal with a delicate Pina Colada popsicle infused with white chocolate.

The popsicle is available exclusively from Wednesday, December 1 to Saturday, December 4, priced AED 52.

FORMULA 1 SPECIAL DISHES 

With the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 about to roar into town, COYA Abu Dhabi is embracing the most adrenaline-fuelled weekend of the year with a special F1-inspired menu. Guests can soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a choice of hearty and satisfying main courses. This includes roast chicken with rosemary, amarillo chilli cream and capers, or slow-cooked beef ribs with ginger, garlic vinaigrette and Dijon mustard mayonnaise. Both dishes are served with colourful and wholesome Peruvian sides such as roasted brussels sprouts with soy butter, baked cauliflower with Manchego cheese, and potato and beetroot salad.

The Formula One limited addition dishes are available daily from December 9 to 12, priced AED 248 for the roast chicken and AED 348 for the slow-cooked beef ribs.

CHRISTMAS DISHES

Once the excitement of race weekend is over, the capital is invited to dive straight into the festive parties with a Peruvian-style Christmas feast at COYA Abu Dhabi.

In honour of COYA’s global Christmas theme ‘Dreaming of a gold Christmas’ the artistic and beautifully designed restaurant will be decked out in an explosion of magical gold decorations.  Featuring live DJ performances and curated soundtracks designed to set the upbeat mood, COYA Abu Dhabi will once again be the most desirable spot in the city to celebrate the party season.

The warming winter dishes of roast chicken and slow-cooked beef ribs will continue to be served with a sprinkle of festive cheer. Creating a magical setting that invites families, friends and colleagues to really get into the Christmas spirit, the home-cooked specialties are presented with a choice of scrumptious sides, including roasted sprouts and baked cauliflower and cheese.

CHRISTMAS EVE BRUNCH

On Friday, December 24, COYA Abu Dhabi’s legendary Friday brunch will be ramped up a notch to create a showstopping Christmas gathering filled with lively and upbeat vibes. Adorned with beautiful gold decorations, the magical celebration provides the perfect opportunity to mark the holidays in glamorous Peruvian style.

Guests can choose to dine inside in the vibrant and eclectic dining room, or outside on the iconic COYA terrace. Offering a blissful al fresco dining experience, the panoramic views of the striking skyline of Downtown Abu Dhabi, and the sparkling waters of Al Maryah Island, make it the most amazing place to absorb and appreciate the cool winter weather.

In order to give diners extra time to catch up, extend warm wishes for the season and make the most of the festivities, all the dishes will be served straight to the tables by the charming staff. The feast starts with a superb selection of fresh salads, ceviches and maki rolls, plus tasty light bites such as the Chef Pang’s selection of grilled skewers, Chilean sea bass croquettes and beef ribs empanadas.

Following on from the creative appetisers, guests will take their pick from a choice of delicious mains. Featuring the best staples and flavour combinations of this truly uplifting and exciting cuisine, the specially curated menu features beef ribs, corn-fed baby chicken, Chilean sea bass rice pot, miso salmon and vegetarian quinoa with ricotta cheese and pumpkin iron pot.

The gastronomic Christmas experience then ends with indulgent orange and lime churros with milk chocolate and dulce de leche sauce, Peruvian cookies with dulce de leche, chicha morada with orange shortbread and last but not least, caramel ganache with fresh berries and candied orange.

The Christmas Eve Friday Brunch will take place from 12:30pm to 4pm on December 24, priced at AED 278 for soft drinks, AED 398 for house beverages and AED 578 for premium beverages.

FIN DE SEMANA: CHRISTMAS DAY EDITION

COYA Abu Dhabi’s sensational Fin De Semana has been enhanced with a golden touch just for Christmas Day.

Offering a two-hour, four course experience, guests are invited to relish in COYA’s signature ambiance, mouth-watering dishes and unbeatable views.

The merry affair kicks off with a choice of two appetisers from a tempting selection of nibbles, including salmon tacos, cucumber and apple salad, mixed seafood ceviche, wild mushroom ceviche, kale salad, corn salad, wagyu beef baos, tuna maki rolls, chicken skewers and more.

Meanwhile, guests can sample true Peruvian excellence through the choice of COYA Abu Dhabi signature main courses. Guests are invited to choose one dish from a choice of slow-cooked beef ribs, grilled corn-fed baby chicken, salmon with miso or crispy potatoes with spicy tomatoes. Or, if diners fancy staying true to the theme and really going large for the weekend, they can also opt to enhance their dining experience with the Peruvian potato and mushroom, Chilean sea bass rice, and spicy beef fillet for an extra cost of AED 50.

Finally, as the festive journey comes to a close, diners can finish their evening on a sweet note by choosing between the divinely decadent chocolate fondant, chicha morada and churros platter.

The Fin De Semana: Christmas Edition takes place on Saturday, December 25 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, priced AED 199 for food, and AED 169 for the beverage package (per person).

INCAN EMPIRE NEW YEAR’S EVE

As usual, COYA Abu Dhabi is hosting the most extravagant and exciting New Year’s Eve party in the capital, but this year’s celebration comes with a special twist.

Hosted under the decadent and immersive idea of the ‘Incan Empire’, the other-worldly gathering is ready to provide the party of a lifetime. Enticing guests into this mysterious realm, the party will feature atmospheric beats from COYA Music DJ Eva Voytko, a tasting menu of authentic Latin American bites, and Incan-inspired cocktail creations. Keeping the vibe stylish and chic, the dress code and decorations will be themed around back and gold.

The culinary team has also curated a fabulous tasting menu to ring in the new year. Consisting of ceviches, COYA’s signature dishes and exquisite desserts, the tasting menu can be availed for AED 540 per person.

Then, when the clock starts to approach midnight, party goers are invited to raise a glass as the sky above Al Maryah Island becomes illuminated with a spectacular fireworks display. Providing the perfect conclusion to the year, guests are encouraged to don their chicest black and gold outfits and see in 2022 with a night of theatrics and fun at the trendiest nightspot in the city.

The Incan Empire New Year’s Eve Party will take place on Friday, December 31. A minimum spend per person of AED 800 in the main dining room, AED 1,200 on the terrace and AED 1,200 on the Lounge Sofas is applicable. Minimum spend is also valid for tasting menu of AED 540 per person and a la carte options.
