If you’re in Abu Dhabi and fancy a fun night out in an immersive wild west saloon experience, there has only been one place to go – 49er’s Steakhouse and Club.
The legendary address for many incredible parties and memorable steak dinners celebrates 25 years of its success in the capital’s hospitality sector with the launch of a new, bigger location.
Moving across the road from its Al Diar Dana Hotel location, 49er’s has taken the Gold Rush over to Le Meridien Abu Dhabi in Tourist Club Area, where it now enjoys an increased seating capacity of 180 guests split between cosy booths, a variety of high tables and a lengthy bar.
Bernald Vallely, general manager of 49er’s Steakhouse and Club, said: “There aren’t many businesses in town that can share a success story like that of 49er’s. Ever since its launch in 1995, the venue at Al Diar Dana Hotel has been packed night after night.
“We are honoured to call another historic property in the capital our new home. With our move to Le Meridien Abu Dhabi, we have a bigger location to accommodate our guests for the next 25 years and more, and also offer an extensive menu, a casual Friday brunch and many more exciting theme nights.”
The new address transports guests to the setting of a classic Western, complete with swinging saloon doors at the entrance, saddles slung over railings, wooden benches and leather bar stools, mounted longhorns on the walls, and an entire team playing their part in costume.
49er’s reinforces its position as a must-visit steakhouse in Abu Dhabi with its whole-new live grill station, where guests can choose premium quality imported meats that are marinated in the chefs’ signature rubs and get it prepared to their preference.
While favourites including lip-smacking signature dishes and fall-off-the-bone steaks remain on the menu, the Gold Rush storyline extends into the beverage section with expert mixologists ready to fashion personalised cocktails.
“A Wild West-themed restaurant and club isn’t easy to come by, and we have perfected this concept and entertained guests for a quarter of a century. At our Le Meridien location, we look forward to welcoming a new wave of guests who have not yet been to 49er’s and to show them an experience-led, genuinely fun night out. There is no doubt that this is going to continue to be a landmark destination for both tourists and residents alike,” Bernald said.
49er’s continues its legacy as a popular nightlife venue with Groove Hearts, the club’s resident band of 18 years, that will continue to perform energy-packed sets six nights a week from 9pm onwards. The quintet, led by two female vocals, will perform the best of rock music, while DJ Jude mixes top hip-hop, pop and R&B tracks, making sure that the dance floor is packed throughout the night.
The entertainment options at 49er’s also includes dart boards for those looking to explore their competitive streak, while sports fans can catch up on the big matches on the two large screens and eight TVs spread across the venue.
Happy Hour prices are available daily from 12pm to 8pm with 33% off on selected house beverages, followed by a 20% discount extended between 8pm and 10pm. Ladies’ nights will continue to be hosted on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.30pm until 12.30am with three complimentary beverages.
