Matsu, the premium Japanese dining destination on Yas Island, is set to elevate Friday brunch to the next level with its exquisite new Sakura Brunch. Every Friday from March 6th, between 1pm and 4pm, guests are invited to experience authentic Japanese cuisine, made with quality ingredients and using traditional cooking techniques, alongside free-flowing beverages and beautiful views over Yas Links Golf Club.
A concept dedicated to ’hanami’, a traditional Japanese custom of enjoying the beauty of transient flowers and specifically the seasonal cherry blossoms, the Sakura Brunch is designed to exude authentic Japanese culture and tastes.
Featuring a lovingly crafted menu from Executive Chef Roy and Chef Yuji Abe, the whole experience is the perfect embodiment of Omotenashi, or the spirit of Japanese hospitality. Transporting guests to Japan with a cultural experience that includes traditionally dressed staff and an authentic Japanese household ambience, Matsu is offering a brunch experience unlike any other in the capital. Guests can choose to accompany the mouthwatering dishes with free-flowing soft drinks for AED 399, house beverages for AED 499, or with premium beverages for AED 599.
Diners will begin their culinary journey with a selection of light bites such as traditional Miso Soup, Seafood Tartar to Hiyayako (diced tofu in katsuo soy dressing), Matsu Salada (cherry tomato, grapefruit, mixed leaves and miso dressing) and Potato and Kani Salada (crab meat, mash potato, carrot and cucumber with Japanese mayo dressing). Further options include delicate tempura dishes like Volcanic Shrimp and Spicy Calamari, plus spectacular main courses such as Chicken Tori Teriyaki, Gyuniku (chargrilled beef steak with harrisa butter), Shoyu Zukesake (grilled salmon with butternut squash puree), Tuna Steak and the perfectly creamy Japanese Coconut Curry. All dishes are accompanied by a choice of delicious sides that include rice, udon noodles, soba noodles and asparagus skewers with sesame dressing.
