The hour-long ceremony starts at 6.30pm and will feature carolers, traditional home-made treats, mulled wine, cookies and minced pie, in addition to a visit from Santa that will captivate the child in all.
The adjacent lobby lounge – The Drawing Room – elevates the festive spirit with a Christmas-themed Afternoon Tea served daily from December 5 until January 4. The high tea is inspired by Caroline Astor, mother to the St. Regis founder, John Jacob Astor IV, who hosted the elegant affair in the 19th century in the New York hotel.
Set in a warm, cosy atmosphere adorned with festive décor and live entertainment by the resident harpist, this St. Regis Tradition is perfect for holiday celebrations. Guests are treated to a beautiful assortment of savory delights and scones, in addition to pastries like almond stollen, spiced gingerbread loaf and yule log. Served from 2pm until 6pm, the afternoon tea is priced at AED 195 inclusive of tea or coffee, and AED 240 with a glass of French bubbly. As a Christmas surprise, diners at The Drawing Room will also be treated to a favor bag filled with festive treats.
For those who want to escape kitchen duties and savor a majestic feast in the comfort of their own home, the lobby café also offers turkey takeaways throughout December. The hassle-free festive dinner of a mouth-watering roast turkey or beef comes with a wide range of traditional trimmings, a cheese selection box and an array of desserts.
With its unparalleled ocean views, white marble décor, gorgeous palm tree-lined terrace and live entertainment by pianist and carol singers, Olea sets the tone for a perspective-changing festive dining experience. The all-day dining restaurant will host a Christmas Eve feast with favorites from around the world, including succulent seafood and generous carving stations to scrumptious rotisserie dishes and an inviting dessert area.
